WASHINGTON—Former Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Mark Calabria started Wednesday at the Office of Management and Budget, according to a report from Washington journalist Andrew Ackerman.
Ackerman, on his X page, stated that Calabria will be detailed to the CFPB until Jonathan McKernan is confirmed as the Bureau’s director.
As CUToday.info reported, Russell Vought, who is also head of the Office of Management and Budget, will hold his CFPB role while McKernan moves through the Senate confirmation.
“If this is true, we look forward to working with Mark to ensure credit unions views and issues are addressed at the CFPB,” said Defense Credit Union Council Chief Advocacy Officer Jason Stverak.
