BATON ROUGE, La.–A former teller at Dow FCU here has been sentenced to prison for fraud.
Whittney M. Lathan was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison after being convicted of defrauding the credit union of more than $500,000 over a four-year period.
In addition, said U.S. Attorney Walt Green, Lathan has also been sentenced to serve a five-year term of supervision, to pay $508,182 in restitution, and to forfeit $309,350 in assets. Lathan was employed at the credit union from 2009-2013.
