BEAVERCREEK, Ohio–Four credit unions have announced merger plans.
The $13.6-million Countywide FCU here said it will be absorbed by $305-million Day Air Credit Union. Countywide FCU has 1,751 members. The combination has already been approved by NCUA and will be effective Jan. 31.
“We are thrilled with this merger,” said Day Air CU CEO William Burke in a released statement. “Day Air and Countywide have a shared commitment to helping our member-owners achieve financial success."
In Texas, meanwhile, the $1.34-billion Austin Telco FCU said it will absorb National Western Life FCU. NWLFCU has $2.4-million in assets and 350 members.
