SPOKANE, Wash.–Global Credit Union has purchased the five-story Freeway Plaza building here on the western side of downtown to serve as its future headquarters.
GCU paid $4.8 million for the property.
According to Global, it will relocate to the 45,000-square-foot building in late September. The new building will replace the distinctive, pyramid-shaped building that it currently uses as its headquarters and which the credit union plans to sell.
The $375-million Pyramid has 50,000 members.
