BANNOCKBURN, Ill.–The $693-million Great Lakes Credit Union said it has joined an effort to offer special low-rate loans to assist its members who are state of Illinois employees whose payroll may be interrupted due to the budget impasse.
“We pride ourselves in providing members with loan solutions, such as our payroll assistance program for state employees, to help them continue to meet the financial needs of their families,” said Vikki Kaiser, president/CEO of Great Lakes Credit Union.
Members are being encouraged to contact GLCU’s call center for details.
“Members may also visit any of our 10 branches, or go to GLCU’s website to apply,” Kaiser adds. “We don’t want our members employed by the State of Illinois to be financially stressed, so we make the loan process simple and the funds available quickly.”
All state of Illinois employees 18 years of age experiencing an interruption in payroll due to the current state budget impasse may apply.
