AUSTIN, Texas–Greater TEXAS FCU has named a new CEO.
Named to the top post was Howard N. Baker, a 29-year credit union veteran, including the last 15 years at Security Service FCU in San Antonio, 11 as EVP and chief of staff. Prior to that, he worked for the National Credit Union Administration in various high-level examiner and analyst positions for over 14 years.
Baker graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. He served as chairman of several boards, including the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, LeadSA, New Braunfels Christian Academy, and Seton Home. He is a member of the McCoy School of Business Advisory Board at Texas State University, and former treasurer of the Greater New Braunfels Economic Development Foundation.
The $553-million Greater TEXAS has 68,000 members.
