NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa–GreenState Credit Union is reporting it has again teamed with Big Grove Brewery to release the fourth annual A Greener State of Mind, a citrus-forward pale ale.
The collaboration between the brewery and credit union aims to support environmental efforts across Iowa, according to the Corridor Business Journal.
The organizations said proceeds from the beer will go to the Iowa division of the Izaak Walton League, a nonprofit focused on conserving and promoting the sustainable use of the state’s natural resources, and will aid the League’s citizen scientist programs, including the purchase of water testing kits for the Save Our Streams initiative, which trains volunteers to monitor local waterways and gather water quality data.
“We’re excited to partner with GreenState on this project, which goes beyond crafting great beer. It’s about bringing our community together in support of a cause that truly matters to this generation and future ones – preserving Iowa’s landscape and ensuring its natural resources are available for all to enjoy,” Mikala Demet, community and project manager at Big Grove, said in a statement.
‘Positive Impact’
Added Tara Wachendorf, VP-PR at the $10.79-billion GreenState Credit Union, “The environment, community green spaces, water quality, and conservation are extremely important to GreenState Credit Union’s mission. This partnership represents our commitment to making a positive impact in the community and for the environment as well.”
The limited-edition beer will be available at Big Grove’s locations in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Iowa City, and Solon as well as select retail outlets throughout Iowa, Corridor Business Journal stated.
