IRMO, S.C. — Police are investigating an incident at a local credit union after a woman allegedly threatened to have a gun during a disturbance on Thursday, News19 reported.
The Irmo Police Department confirmed the incident occurred at the office of SAFE FCU on Broad River Road near Ballentine.
According to officials, a woman described as an "unruly citizen" claimed she had a firearm but never displayed it. No witnesses reported seeing a weapon, News19 stated.
The woman left the scene before officers arrived. Authorities say they know the identity of the suspect and are actively searching for her, though her name and any potential charges have not yet been released, News19 added.
