FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.—Two people were robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning as they attempted to withdraw money from an ATM outside the office of State Employees’ Credit Union here. Investigators said the individuals went to the SECU office on Ramsey Street around 1:30 a.m. to make a withdrawal when they were confronted by two men with pistols.
The victims were held at gunpoint while the robbers went through their belongings and stole cash and property.
Police have one person in custody and are seeking a second. Detectives have identified two suspects: Travis Lavon Geiger, 31, and Stephon Daryel Davis, 26. Geiger has been arrested and charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.
The $29-billion SECU is based in Raleigh, N.C.
