SPANAWAY, Wash.–A hazardous materials team responded to a call from a branch of Harborstone Credit Union here after several employees reported feeling sick after touching a substance found on some currency.
Authorities from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said the haz mat team eventually determined that the substance was mold and that there was no danger to the community. The branch was also temporarily closed.
