If It Quacks Like a Duck (Dynasty, It Could Be Ex-Employees With Robbery Plan)

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio—A former staff member of Cardinal Community CU here donned a Duck Dynasty disguise to rob her old employer, but then reconsidered her plan.

Pamela Milliner, 45, was arrested after wearing the odd disguise on two separate occasions at two different Cardinal CU branches, but both times she didn’t have the courage to go through with the robbery. Milliner was spotted by police and staff as acting suspiciously on both occasions.

On Oct. 30 employees called Willoughby police to report that a woman walked in wearing a mask, described as looking like a "Duck Dynasty beard," that covered her face. Witnesses said she walked to the back of the room and watched as two tellers assisted customers. But then, when the customers left, so did the woman, Newsnet 5 reported.

Then on Nov. 3 a Willoughby police officer was inside the credit union and witnessed the same woman walk into the CU. She was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a black baseball cap with a stocking cap underneath, sunglasses and a fake beard.

Police said that when the officer approached her, she admitted that she was a former employee and had planned on robbing the CU for $3,000 because of financial needs. She said she didn't end up committing the robberies because she couldn't find the courage to do so, Newsnet 5 reported.

According to police, Milliner said she hadn't planned on hurting anyone and would have tried to repay the credit union later.

Milliner was charged with attempted felony theft, inducing panic and possession of criminal tools.
