DELAND, Fla. — Insight Credit Union said it has entered into a multi-year naming rights deal with Stetson University for the arena inside Edmunds Center.
The home facility for the Hatters' men's and women's basketball teams and volleyball team is now known as Insight Credit Union Arena.
The financial terms and the number of years of the agreement were not disclosed. The $698-million Insight CU is based in Winter Springs, Fla., and has approximately 47,000 members.
According to the organizations, the Edmunds Center has been the home of Stetson basketball since the 1974–75 season, and Stetson volleyball has played in the venue since 1980. Over the summer, the arena underwent Phase 1 of a renovation project, which included updates to seats, bathrooms, locker rooms, the floor and the sound system.
Electronics Upgrades
The arena, which seats 5,000 fans, was upgraded with Daktronics HD video boards and LED Daktronics side tables prior to the 2019-2020 season.
