SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—The International Harvester Employee Credit Union is changing its name to IH Credit Union. The new name comes with a new logo and color scheme.
The $266-million credit union said it made the move to reflect a broader FOM that includes residents in eight counties and a misunderstanding that membership was limited to employees at International Harvester.
IH Credit Union launched its name change plan in August of 2014 when it began soliciting name suggestions from members. It said it settled on IH because so many people already referred to it that way.
The credit union was founded in 1924 and has 17,419 members.
