Internet Outage Leads to Closure of Branches at RBFCU

LIVE OAK, Texas - Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union had to close all its branches early on Tuesday of this week due to ongoing service problems by Spectrum, its Internet provider.

The credit union also said that its ATMs were also temporarily unavailable. Online and mobile transactions remained available.

The Internet outage affected thousands of people across the state. In a statement, Spectrum said the outage was due to a "third-party infrastructure issue” caused by the effects of Hurricane Beryl.

A Facebook post by the $17.4-billion RBFCU said services have been restored and the branches have re-opened.
