LOS ANGELES—Several credit unions in the Los Angeles area are participating in events related to Earth Day today.
They include Water and Power Community Credit Union, which is inviting everyone in the community to bring up to five boxes or bags of paperwork, including bank and financial statements, tax records, and other sensitive documents, for shredding at one of its offices.
Similarly, Kinecta FCU is hosting will host a free shredding event from 9 a.m.-noon April 18 where the public is invited to bring confidential documents and/or paper of all kinds, including magazines, newspapers, file and hanging folders and three-ring binders for proper disposal.
