WICHITA, Kans.—Nineteen credit unions in this state today will be surprising consumers as part of the Kansas Credit Union Association’s sixth Make a Difference event.
The events will be held throughout the day with the first one starting at 7:00 a.m. The times and locations are kept secret to instill the element of surprise. The participating credit unions and the Association reveal the times and locations via social networks, mostly Facebook and Twitter. In previous years, Make a Difference events have included gas giveaways and “It’s On Us” event, where credit unions picked up the tab at various restaurants.
By then end of the day, Kansas credit unions will have given $32,000 back to Kansas communities.
Nineteen credit unions in 18 Kansas communities will participate in the event, according to the Kansas CU Association:
- Ark Valley Credit Union
- C & R Credit Union
