BETHPAGE, N.Y.--Kirk Kordeleski has stepped down as president and CEO of New York's largest credit union, Bethpage FCU, citing health reasons.
COO Wayne Grosse has been named interim CEO. Bethpage FCU has not provided additional details beyond citing health as the reason for the resignation by Kordeleski, 57.
Kordeleski has been CEO of the $5.7-billion Bethpage Federal since 2000, after originally joining the credit union in 1992. Grosse has been with BFCU for 15 years, and COO for the past seven. The news of Kordeleski's resignation was first reported by Newsday.
Bethpage FCU serves 239,000 members with 28 branches and 60 shared service center locations on Long Island.
