Labbe Named CEO At PeoplesChoice Credit Union

SACO, Maine--Luke Labbe has been named CEO at the $330-million PeoplesChoice Credit Union.

Labbe was formerly president of the organization.

Labbe has over two decades of service as president, having led the organization with a commitment to empowering members and fostering financial wellness, the CU said.

"A respected leader in the credit union industry, he serves on the boards of both the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent. Luke holds a degree from the University of Maine and remains an active advocate for credit union initiatives," the CU said.

Adam Warfel

Adam Warfel has been appointed president.

"Adam, who has served as CFO since 2020, brings a wealth of financial expertise to his new role, including his prior experience as VP of finance and accounting for the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent. A Certified Public Accountant with a master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine, Adam is well-positioned to guide continued growth and member-focused initiatives," the CU said.

The credit union also shared that Alex Makinen has been promoted to VP of HR. In this capacity, she will also join the leadership team.

"Alex is a seasoned HR professional with nearly 20 years of experience spanning nonprofit, ESOP, and corporate environments. She holds the SHRM-SCP designation, underscoring her expertise in strategic human resource management," the CU said.
