Lannier To Lead Expedition Credit Union

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn.—Expedition Credit Union has tapped Shawn Lannier to succeed Paul Dammann as president and CEO, the CU reported.

Lannier is the $227-million CU’s chief operating officer and will take over for Dammann, who plans to retire June 30, the CU said.

Dammann led ECU for 11 years, and has 40 years’ of experience in the credit union industry.

“It has truly been an honor serving Credit Union members over my career, especially at Expedition Credit Union,” Dammann said. “I cannot think of a more people-friendly industry to be in where we can make a difference. Expedition will be in great hands with Shawn and the leadership she will bring forth.”

“As a CEO of ExpCU, Paul’s legacy will be that during challenging times, he maintained our solid foundation and created a path for the continued future growth of ExpCU. For that we are grateful, and we knew replacing him would not be a small task. We wish him the best in retirement,” said Mona Springis-Doss, ECU board chair.

“Lannier has led almost every department within the credit union with strengths in collaborating and building high-performing teams at ExpCU,” Springis-Doss stated. “The decision was unanimous.”

Lannier has been with ECU since 2002, serving in her current COO position since 2023.

“I am delighted to serve as the next president/CEO of Expedition Credit Union. We have an amazing team, and I am excited to be on this adventure together with them to serve our members and communities,” said Lannier.
