BATON ROUGE, La.—E Federal Credit Union is changing its name to EFCU Financial effective in March 2015.
Founded to serve employees of an Exxon Refinery, the credit union said it is making the change to reflect that it now serves a broader FOM with eight branches across a number of parishes.
The name change has been in the works for two years and included a member contest to choose the new name. E FCU did not say whether EFCU Financial was the result of a member submission. The credit union will unveil a new website in January, and said a new tagline, logo and other branding will follow.
