Man Arrested After Threatening To Kill Navy FCU Employees Over $60 Withdrawal

SAN ANTONIO — A 68-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill employees inside a Navy Federal Credit Union branch during a dispute over a $60 withdrawal, police said.

Dwight Malone entered the Navy Fed branch on Sept. 17 and demanded his money, according to an arrest affidavit. When staff attempted to direct him to a cashier, Malone became enraged and told an employee, ā€œI am going to withdraw my $60, I’m going to get my $60 or I will kill all of you,ā€ the affidavit states, according to News4 San Antonio.

He then began yelling and creating a disturbance and threatened another employee who tried to intervene saying, "I'll take you on a one-way trip and you will never come back," according to the affidavit. Malone also allegedly threatened to kill the rest of the staff before leaving, News4 San Antonio said.

Employees had reportedly had issues with Malone in the past as he was a customer at that location, according to the affidavit.

Malone was arrested Saturday and booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, where he faces third-degree felony charges of making a terroristic threat against a public servant and criminal trespassing, according to jail records.
