PLANO, Texas—NCUA Board Member J. Mark McWatters has been added as a speaker to Catalyst Corporate FCU’s 38th annual Economic Forum to be held Oct. 6-8 at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.
McWatters came to NCUA from Texas, having served as assistant dean for graduate programs and as professor of practice at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, and as adjunct professor at the SMU Cox School of Business before his appointment to the NCUA Board.
He will join Bill Hampel, chief economist and chief policy officer at CUNA; Steven Happel, professor of economics at the Arizona State University W.P. Carey School of Business; and Forum-favorite and former CNBC Chief Economist Marci Rossell.
“Each year, our goal is to assemble a team of expert presenters who address the economy from a variety of perspectives, so that credit union leaders are well-informed and prepared to chart the future direction of their institutions,” said Kathy Garner, CEO of Catalyst Corporate. “The Economic Forum is a valuable resource for credit unions positioning themselves for challenges ahead.”
