Members 1st FCU Officially Opens Rebranded Branch It Acquired from First Harvest CU

WILLIAMSPORT, Penn. — Members 1st Federal Credit Union has reopened a branch here under its own name and brand that it acquired from New Jersey-based First Harvest Credit Union.

As CUToday.info reported earlier, First Harvest and Members 1st reached an agreement on what they called a spin-off transaction in October 2023, which was  approved by NCUA on February 12, 2024. The decision to move forward was made official following a member vote on April 8, 2024

‘Meaningful Relationships’

“We are excited to celebrate the opening of this new branch with the Williamsport community. As a high school alum from  this region, returning to the area feels like  going home, and it fills me with joy to  give back to the community that helped shape me,” said Michael Wilson, President & CEO. “We look forward to building meaningful relationships in communities across the region and providing personalized  service—from advice and support to a full suite of financial tools designed to help both  our consumer and small business members live well financially.”

Celebration Today

The $7-billion Members 1st’s Williamsport branch is hosting a grand opening event today that will feature breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, live  music from WILQ and giveaways throughout the day.
