Merger Leads To Renaming of CU-Sponsored Trail At Park

TOPEKA, Kan.–The $268-million Quest Credit Union and the $198-million Educational Credit Union are reporting they are on track to merge and operate under a new name.

Effective April 30, the merged entity will be known as Azura Credit Union. The merger was first announced in early 2015, with the membership of both CUs voting in favor. Greg Winkler, CEO of Educational Credit Union, will be CEO of the merged operation, which will have approximately 47,000 members and 10 branches.

Quest Credit Union had earlier made a $180,000 donation to make improvements at the 106-acre Skyline Park here. The funds will be provided over the next six years. Given the merger to create Azura Credit Union, the name of a new trail at the park will be called Azura Trail at Skyline Parkway.
