EWING, N.J.—Credit Union of New Jersey has completed its merger with the $1.2-million City of Trenton Employees Credit Union.
The 544 members of CTECU will now join the 40,000 members of CU of New Jersey, which has $324 million in assets.
Meanwhile, Grand Blanc, Mich.-based Tri-Pointe Community Credit Union is to be absorbed via merger by $1.8-billion Genisys Credit Union of Auburn Hills, Mich. The merger must still be voted on by members of the $200-million Tri-Pointe; it has already been approved by the board. The vote will take place in 2015. The credit unions announced that no jobs will be lost as the result of the merger.
In Decatur, Ill., the $195-million Land of Lincoln CU has absorbed via merger former Sangamo Chapter CU and will offer services through SCCU’s branch in Springfield, Ill.
