Metrum Community Granted Charter Worthy of Name

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Metrum Community Credit Union here has been approved for a community charter by the Colorado Division of Financial Services.

The 69-year-old CU will now be open to anyone who lives or works in the city of Centennial.

“This community charter allows us to better serve those in Centennial, a community we have been a part of for so long,” said Steve Kelly, president and CEO. “Our goal will be to offer our members new, and/or, better products and services, along with better rates and fees.”

Prior to 1992, MCCU served one of the largest employer groups in the community – Honeywell TID. Today, Metrum now serves 31 employee groups and 15 homeowner associations within the city of Centennial and over 19% of Metrum’s membership resides within the city.

The $60-million Metrum has 4,800 members.
