Missouri, Kansas CU Staff Selected For ‘CUlead’

WICHITA, Kan.–CUlead: Leadership Excellence and Development, a comprehensive, one-year, interactive program for Kansas and Missouri credit union staff who possess leadership potential and are ready to further develop their skills, has announced its 2016 class.

The program is led by the Heartland Credit Union Association, which serves credit unions in Kansas and Missouri.

The new class members are:

  • Joel Andrew, Senior Financial Analyst, Heartland Credit Union, Hutchinson, Kan.
  • Shane Cox, Training Manager, United Credit Union, Mexico, Mo.
  • Tasha Erickson, HR and Education Director, Heartland Credit Union, Hutchinson, Kan.
  • Melissa Garcia, Loan Administration Manager, TECU Credit Union, Wichita, Kan.
  • Shana Jahnke, VP Branch Operations, Community Financial Credit Union, Springfield, Mo.
  • Kayla Loveland, IS and Remote Services Project Manager, Mid American Credit Union, Wichita, Kan.
  • Amanda Martin, Member Service/Teller Supervisor, Central Missouri Community CU, Warrensburg, Mo.
  • Angie Mielke, Data Processing and IT Operations Manager, Heartland Credit Union, Hutchinson, Kan.
  • Crystal Miller, President, Bell Credit Union, Hutchinson, Kan.
  • Sean Nance, Recruitment Specialist/HR Generalist, Credit Union of America, Wichita, Kan.
  • Lachelle Porter, Senior Loan Officer, Ark Valley Credit Union, Arkansas City, Kan.
  • Stacy Shaffer, Vice President of Operations, Kansas State University Federal Credit Union, Manhattan, Kan.
  • Pricilla Shelledy, Member Service Supervisor, Central Missouri Community Credit Union, Sedalia, Mo.
  • Cameron Voth, Loan Officer, Mid-Kansas Credit Union, Moundridge, Kan.
  • Darren Werth, AVP Sales and Marketing, Heartland Credit Union, Hutchinson, Kan.

"This program is intense, but the students have fun too," said Gina Evans, CUlead program coordinator. "CUlead's interactive sessions build and strengthen leadership and professional skills while group projects and field trips help students make connections that will last throughout their career."

Now in its second year, CUlead is open to any credit union staff demonstrating leadership potential. According to the HCUA, the comprehensive curriculum was created specifically for future credit union leaders and covers everything from advocacy and communication skills to regulator insights and financial analysis.
