Mobile App Aims To Help Finances, Avoid Overdrafts

BELLEVUE, Wash.—Mobilligy has introduced a new mobile app aimed at helping consumers better manage their daily finances and avoid overdraft fees.

Pointing out that 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, Mobilligy has introduced Prism, a free app for the iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8 and the Kindle Fire. The app’s goal is to simplify budgeting, banking and bill payments so users can better manage their money to avoid fees due to late payments.

The app notifies users when payments are due and also checks bank account balances to ensure enough money is available to cover the payment. Payments are made from directly within the app and are processed quickly, the company explained.

Mobilligy explains that to get started users first find their billers and then enter login details. “We’ll present you with all of your bills and recent payments, and you’ll be able to quickly see what’s due,” the company states on its website.

According to its App Store description, Prism recognizes when upcoming bills are due and how much is owed and instantly notifies users as new bills arrive or if anything is amiss.
