ALEXANDRIA, Va.– Minority- and women-owned businesses interested in contracting with the federal government will be the subject of an upcoming event co-hosted by NCUA.
The technical assistance event is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the George Mason University Arlington Campus Founders Hall, 3351 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Va. There is no charge.
The event will offer information and networking sessions to help businesses respond to federal contracting opportunities. The event will include presentations on the basics of government contracting, federal proposal writing and successful collaboration. NCUA said its Office of Minority and Women Inclusion is partnering on the event with similar offices in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Department of the Treasury, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Housing Finance Agency and the Securities and Exchange Commission. The agencies also are working in collaboration with the Northern Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Center.
