ALEXANDRIA, Va.–NCUA is reminding that it will be hosting a webinar on Dec. 17 titled, “Best Practices for Strong Internal Controls” that will be hosted by its Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives.
The 90-minute seminar is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EST. Leading the seminar will be Vanessa Lowe, economic development specialist with NCUA’s Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, who will be joined by Joette Colletts, risk management manager with CUNA Mutual Group, and Scott Butterfield, a consultant with Your Credit Union Partner.
The webinar will cover topics including the effects of poor internal controls on insurance costs, creating an effective fraud prevention policy, and internal controls for lending and teller operations. Questions may be submitted in advance. For info: www.ncua.gov.
