WASHINGTON—NCUA is hosting a pair of online workshops this week, the first of which is today.
The agency will host the second part of a two-part workshop, “Sustaining DEI Through Developing Your DEI Strategic Plan” today starting at 1 p.m. ET.
According to NCUA, participants will learn the latest tools, techniques, and theories to build an effective strategic plan that will incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in regular work practices and behaviors.
NCUA further said the session will focus on the world of neuroscience, linguistics, psychology, and organizational development.

Building Membership
On Thursday, NCUA will Host webinar titled ‘How to Retain and Expand Membership.” It will begin at 2 p.m. ET and is expected to run one hour.
NCUA said Adam Stewart, VP-strategic growth, marketing, and relationship management for Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union; and Jeff Margeson, chief retail officer for State Department FCU, will cover topics that include:
- How to determine what products and services your members want
- The various types of marketing you can use to increase member uptake
- Outreach strategies to grow and retain membership.

The agency said the webinar will be closed captioned, and there is no charge. Participants will be able to log in and view the event on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. They should allow pop-ups from this website.

The agency further said the webinar will be archived on the NCUA’s Learning Management System following the live event. A Learning Management System account is required to view the archived webinar, and it also provides access to the NCUA’s other training and educational materials.
