NCUA Shifts Voluntary Post-Examination Survey to External Vendor

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The NCUA's voluntary post-examination survey, previously distributed after a federal credit union's exam, will now be conducted by an external vendor, NCUA announced in a Letter to Credit Unions (25-FCU-02).

The change will take effect for federal credit union examinations completed in March, the agency said.

NCUA, in its letter, noted the agency has been using the voluntary post-examination survey since 2021.

Noting the change will further improve the survey process, NCUA said survey responses will generally not be used on an individual credit union basis.

“The NCUA’s review will continue to be based on aggregate survey data,” the agency said.

“Your Chief Executive Officer (or equivalent position) will receive an email approximately two weeks after the completion of an examination with a link to the post-examination survey. The email domain you will receive the survey link from is NCUA@qualtrics-survey.com. You will have 15 calendar days to submit a response. Completion of the survey is voluntary. Your Examiner-in-Charge will also complete a similar survey,” NCUA said.

Questions regarding the post-examination survey should be directed to the NCUA Ombudsman at 703-518-1175 or ombudsman@ncua.gov, the agency said.
