ALEXANDRIA, Va.–NCUA said it will host a webinar on “Mergers as a Growth Strategy” on March 9.
The 90-minute webinar will begin at 2 p.m. ET. Online registration is available here. According to NCUA, participants will use this same link to log into the webinar. Registrants should allow pop-ups from this website. There is no charge.
Vanessa Lowe, an economic development specialist with NCUA’s Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, will host a panel that includes Paul Nyman, a board member of Horizon Federal Credit Union; John McKenzie, president of the Indiana Credit Union League; Bob Jones, an economic development specialist with the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives; and Richard Schulman, an attorney with Esp Kreuzer Cores, LLP. The topics considered during the webinar include:
- Why merging worked well for one small credit union’s growth strategy;
- The network credit union concept;
- Small credit union negotiating power in a merger;
- Call Report data on mergers; and
- Insights from NCUA’s “Truth in Mergers, A Guide for Merging Credit Unions.”
