ALEXANDRIA, Va.—NCUA said it has improved its Credit Union Locator, the online research tool on the agency’s website that provides detailed information on federally insured credit unions.
Available here, the Credit Union Locator now features a more attractive design, enhanced credit union search functions and turn-by-turn driving directions for reaching individual credit unions, the agency stated. The Credit Union Locator includes more optimized map results with “pins” indicating each credit union’s location, the agency said.
Consumers can get a variety of credit union information by searching a credit union by name, address, zip code or charter number, NCUA said. The refined search option gives users the ability to search an area between five and 60 miles of an address. By selecting a specific credit union branch, consumers can view basic information including web address, phone number and whether the credit union has drive-through access or ATMs available.
