SAN ANTONIO–The National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB) confirmed one new regional coordinator, re-elected two regional coordinators, and re-elected the chairman for a second term during the cooperative network’s annual meeting here.
Juli Lewis, member relations consultant for the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates, based in Birmingham, Ala. And Tallahassee, Fla., was re-elected as NYIB chairman for 2015-16. Lewis has 22 years of experience in the credit union industry. She has been an active member of the National Youth Involvement Board since 2006.
Elected as a NYIB regional coordinator with a two-year term was Jeremy Cybulski, youth and community development coordinator, ZEAL Credit Union in Livonia, Mich., for the North Central region.
NYIB regional coordinators re-elected to a second two-year term were:
- North West – Shannon Cahoon, community outreach coordinator, Fibre Federal Credit Union in Longview, Wash.
- North East – Leah Sprowl, high school manager and youth educator, Holy Rosary Credit Union in Rochester, N.H.
Continuing the second year of their existing terms are:
- South Central – Mandy Clayton, director of financial education, FivePoint Credit Union in Nederland, Texas.
- South East – Kelli Holloway, member education specialist, State Employees’ Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C.
- South West – Amanda Merz, financial education manager, SAFE Credit Union, Folsom, Calif.
The executive committee elected Clayton as vice chairman, Cahoon as secretary, and Sprowl as treasurer. The NYIB also added an ex-officio seat to the executive committee, which was filled by a Young Professional, Heather Mourhourtis from Community First Credit Union in Jacksonville, Fla.
The NYIB will be returning to San Antonio for the 2016 annual conference for the Southern elections. The NYIB is currently looking for candidates interested in serving as their State Voting Delegate.
