NEW ORLEANS–The National Council of Firefighter Credit Unions has established a Disaster Relief Fund that will be contributed directly to the Houston Texas Fire Fighters FCU in the wake of Hurricane Beryl.
“This fund is to be used to assist in the rebuilding efforts of their staff and volunteers. Many of the staff and volunteers have suffered significant losses, if not total losses, to their homes and property due to the heavy winds and rains Hurricane Beryl,” NCOFCU said in a statement.
The organization said that as donations are deposited in the Houston Texas Fire Fighters FCU Disaster Fund, NCOFCU, will coordinate with the credit union distribute money efficiently to affected credit union employees and volunteers.
NCOFCU added that 100% of the donations to the HTFCUDR Fund through NCOFCU will go directly to the credit union disaster relief fund.
