Navy Federal Announces Plans To Add 5,000 Jobs

PENSACOLA, Fla.—Florida Gov. Rick Scott joined Navy Federal Credit Union CEO Cutler Dawson at an event where Navy Federal said it will be adding 5,000 jobs at its call center here.

That is in addition to the 2,000 jobs the credit union had announced in May of this year would be created here. The first 2,000 jobs will be filled by 2015, with Navy Federal projecting the additional 5,000 will be filled by 2020.

Gov. Scott presented Dawson with the Governor's Business Ambassador Award for Navy Federal's creation of jobs in Florida. Navy Federal currently employees 3,800 people in the Pensacola area, with an estimated annual payroll of $160-million.
