VIENNA, Va.—Navy Federal Credit Union said it has now gone live with Apple Pay.
Given that the world’s largest credit union has more than five-million members, it should provide a barometer of acceptance of the new payments technology. Those members can now make payments using the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, Apple Watch, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3.
In a statement, Navy Federal said digital servicing of its members, many of whom are active duty military personnel and their families and who rely on mobile technologies, was a primary driver in its decision to adopt Apple Pay.
