New CEO Takes Over At Buffalo Metropolitan

BUFFALO, N.Y.—Jeanne Stadler has taken over as CEO at Buffalo Metropolitan FCU. She succeeds Patricia Edinger, who retired last fall.

Previously Stadler was the $94-million CU’s operations officer and compliance officer. She was hired by the credit union 22 years ago as a teller.

“My focus is to continue to successfully operate the credit union by putting our members first,” Stadler told Buffalo Business First. “We have wonderful and loyal members and they’re the key to our credit union success. We also want to continue to expand our products and services offerings. Having the newest technology is important for us to compete in the marketplace.”

That includes electronic signature capabilities. The credit union already offers e-signatures to apply for loans online and it expects to offer online account openings in the near future.

Buffalo Metropolitan is the eighth-largest credit union in Buffalo. It was originally open to city of Buffalo workers, but now serves anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in Erie County.
