New CEOs Are Named in Texas, Maine

HOUSTON–Houston Texas Fire Fighters FCU has named Steve Gilman as CEO.

Gilman will succeed Clint Hartmann, who is retiring in March 2016 after serving 11 years as the credit union's president and CEO, according to the Cornerstone Credit Union League.

Gilman has 39 years’ experience in financial services, including serving as president/CEO of Members Choice Credit Union in Houston since 2007, during which he oversaw asset growth to $500 million from $200 million. He will officially begin at HTFFFCU on January 4.

Gilman has been active in credit unions, including serving on various local boards and committees. At the state level, he serves as a member for the Texas Credit Union Commission, Cornerstone Credit Union League’s governmental affairs committee, and is also currently chairman of the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions. He is a past president of the Credit Union Managers Association of Southeast Texas, as well as the Cinco Ranch Rotary Club in Katy, the Cornerstone league reported.

Meanwhile, in Augusta, Maine, Tucker Cole has been named the new president/CEO of the $361-million Maine State CU, effective in early January. Cole will succeed Normand Dubreuil, who is retiring in March. He has been serving as President/CEO of the $322-million Evergreen CU in Portland, Maine, since 1996.
