WOODBRIDGE, Va.—To promote its new branch on the Fort Belvoir Military Installation, Belvoir FCU gave away a new, 2015 Honda Civic EXL.
The CU’s Car Sweepstakes ran from Dec. 2, 2015 until March 2, and anyone could enter. Belvoir received more than 58,000 entries online and through the mail.
The $324-million CU recently randomly selected one winner, Olen Dorney, who is a member.
“I keep telling my kids, credit unions are the way to go. They really care about the member and we have a voice since we are owners of the credit union,” said Dorney.
“We thought this would be a great opportunity to excite members and non-members about our new facilities as well as build awareness for Belvoir Federal. What a fantastic way to say thank you to our membership,” said Belvoir President and CEO Patricia Kimmel.
