MANCHESTER, N.H.—America's Credit Union Museum (ACUM) has announced the the 2024 inductees to its exhibit "Credit Union Women Making History: Herstory."
Saying it received “overwhelming response” to the inaugural Herstory initiative in 2022, the Museum said it established an annual recognition program to identify and celebrate outstanding women of the movement.
“Herstory continues honoring the past, present, and future of incredible women making history, showcasing women's stories never heard before,” the museum said.
The Inductees
The additions to the Herstory exhibit this year will be:
- Donna Bland, president/CEO, Golden 1 Credit Union, California
- Crystal Long, president/CEO, GECU, Texas
- Judy McCartney, retired president & CEO, Orange County's Credit Union, California
- Tansley Stearns, president/CEO, Community Financial Credit Union, Michigan
- Joanne Todd, president, Northeast Family Federal Credit Union, Connecticut
- Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, retired president & CEO, Travis Credit Union, California
- Caroline Willard, president/CEO, Cornerstone League (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri)
‘Shaping the Movement’
"We are honored to announce the 2024 inductees into the 'Credit Union Women Making History: Herstory' exhibit," ACUM Board Chair Kristi Arrington said in a statement. "Through this exhibit, we continue to celebrate the remarkable women shaping the credit union movement.
The Museum will hold the induction ceremony on Sept. 26, 2024.
