Patrick Conway, PCUA

HARRISBURG, Penn. — The New Jersey Credit Union League and its service corporation, Professional Service Group of New Jersey (PSG), will offer its credit unions Sherpa Identity Protection, the identity-theft protection service developed and managed by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association.

The Sherpa Identity Protection product was launched by the PCUA in April this year, delivering state-of-the-art technology for identity theft protection and restoration services. Working with the leading provider of identity protection and fraud detection services, the PCUA’s Sherpa equips members with the tools they need to protect their personal information, the PCUA said, adding that members will also have access to Sherpa’s certified theft restoration specialists, should a member’s identity be compromised.

“Our Sherpa program continues to grow as we introduce it to the marketplace,” said Patrick Conway, PCUA president and CEO. “We are pleased to offer Sherpa in conjunction with the New Jersey Credit Union League. Identity theft has been well documented as one of the big financial concerns facing consumers. With Sherpa, consumers can enjoy the peace of mind that their personal information is being closely monitored, and that if a breach occurs, Sherpa will be there to restore their good name. In addition, Sherpa offers credit unions an additional source of non-interest income.”
