New ‘Sister Society' Of Global Women’s Network Holds First Meeting in Pennsylvania

MIDDLETOWN, Penn.–A new Pennsylvania Sister Society of the Global Women’s Leadership Network has been created.

The group of approximately 60 recently held their first meeting at the Vineyard at Hershey here.

“Having a support system for women in credit unions is crucial to driving the entire movement forward,” says Lori Gall, co-chair of the Pennsylvania Sister Society and SVP of administration for Mid-Atlantic Corporate. “We created the Sister Society so we can assist and motivate one another to achieve great success in each of our credit unions.”

Amey Sgrignoli, co-chair of the Pennsylvania Sister Society and CEO of Belco Community Credit Union, agreed, saying, “We want to unite credit union women in the Mid-Atlantic region to exchange ideas, discuss leadership development, and network with area leaders. Our goal is to keep improving and making strides toward collaboration.”

The inaugural meeting included a presentation titled “Embrace Your Roots” by Beth Zuehlke, president of Safe Bridge Solutions. Participants also engaged in a networking lunch and a discussion on future activities.

The Global Women’s Leadership Network is an initiative of the World Council of Credit Unions.
