ELGIN, Ill.–Lending Solutions Consulting (LSCI) has published the 8th edition of its University of Lending Manual. The manual was first published in 1996, and according to LSCI continues to be updated with innovative ideas and training concepts for credit unions.
The updated manual was released in conjunction with the graduation of the 201st University of Lending Class, where 87 attendees from 44 credit unions graduated from the school.
“We are very excited about the manual, but we’re more excited about the amazing results our clients are achieving,” said Rex Johnson, president of Lending Solutions Consulting. “Earnings are exploding and our clients are truly living up to the credit union mission of serving the underserved. We have some clients who are approaching 3% ROA, all while keeping delinquencies in check.”
In addition, Lending Solutions Consulting announced that its University of Lending will return to Houston for the first time since 2007. The school will be held at the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria May 10-12, with Jack Kelly, a seasoned consultant with experience working with hundreds of credit unions, hosting the class.
“The University of Lending is the foremost training school for credit unions and is designed for loan officers, underwriters, tellers, collectors and management personnel,” LSCI said.
Added Kelly, “We’re teaching credit unions how to look beyond the credit score to seek creative solutions and build long-term relationships with members, while increasing loan yield and income.”
