New Visa-TikTok Card Targets Cash-Flow Pain For Creators

LONDON— Visa has partnered with TikTok to launch a new debit card for U.K.-based content creators, a move aimed at helping creators separate business and personal finances and gain faster access to income earned through TikTok LIVE, according to PYMNTS.

The new Creator Card, which Visa described as the first of its kind, is designed for creators whose income often arrives irregularly through virtual gifts redeemed during live broadcasts, PYMNTS reported. Visa said many creators currently run those earnings through personal bank accounts, creating added friction for what are increasingly functioning as small businesses.

According to PYMNTS, Visa research found 86% of creator-run businesses are self-funded, while 49% report late payments, underscoring ongoing cash-flow pressure in the creator economy. Visa said the new card is intended to reduce delays between when creators earn income and when they can actually spend it, giving them quicker access to funds for everyday expenses or reinvestment.

The launch also fits into a broader push by Visa into creator-focused financial services, PYMNTS noted. The outlet said Visa has recently explored partnerships with companies including Karat and supported faster-payment initiatives with Lumanu. PYMNTS added that its own research has found late payments remain a widespread problem across the broader marketing and creative ecosystem, with 97% of agencies reporting payment delays in 2025 that in many cases forced them to pause or cancel growth initiatives.
