COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Ohio CU League is working with legislators in this state to introduce a bill that would give Buckeye State CUs access to funds from the Ohio State Treasurer’s office to help facilitate small business lending.
According to the league, the soon-to-be-introduced bill would create a new program, called Business Link, and will be sponsored by State Rep. Kirk Schuring (R-Canton).
“Between Schuring’s strong support and league advocacy staff canvassing the Statehouse, engaging representatives of both parties and candidly asking for their support, the bill already has an impressive 33 co-sponsors,” the league stated.
