PSCU Reiterates Strategic Plan Remains In Place; Also Wins Stevie Award

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The board of PSCU has issued a statement stressing that the organization has a solid strategic plan in place and will continue to execute it in the wake of the departure of former CEO Mike Kelly.

PSCU Chairman Mike Valentine said the CUSO is moving forward with temporary leadership but also expressed his appreciation to Kelly, who stepped down after four years at the helm of PSCU.

“We want to assure our more than 800 member credit unions that the Board, along with our Acting CEO Tom Gandre, has a strategic plan in place to move the organization forward while the search is underway for our next CEO,” said Valentine. “I would also like to thank Mike Kelly for his dedication and contributions to PSCU. Mike was a change agent who helped PSCU and its stakeholders gain visibility and momentum in the marketplace and successfully positioned PSCU for the future. PSCU appreciates his contributions over the past four years and wishes him well in his future endeavors.”

Separately,PSCU was named as a finalist for the Stevie Award for Contact Center of the Year in the ninth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. PSCU claimed the bronze Stevie Award in the Financial Services Industries category for contact centers with more than 100 seats.

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world's top sales, contact center, and customer service awards. The awards were presented to honorees during a gala banquet at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

This year's Stevie Awards competition evaluated more than 1,900 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry. Finalists were determined by the average scores of 139 worldwide professionals, acting as preliminary judges. Entries were considered in 54 categories for customer service and contact center achievements, including Contact Center of the Year, Award for Innovation in Customer Service, and Customer Service Department of the Year; 50 categories for sales and business development achievements, ranging from Senior Sales Executive of the Year to Business Development Achievement of the Year; and categories to recognize new products and services and solution providers.
