PSECU Deploys New Mobile, Tablet Apps

Greg Smith, PSECU

HARRISBURG, Penn.—The $4-billion Pennsylvania State Employees CU has deployed new mobile phone and tablet applications to the Apple App Store for member users with iPhone and iPad devices.

The apps have been updated for Apple’s new iOS 8 operating system and include integration with Touch ID, Apple's fingerprint authentication system. Touch ID integration lets users login quickly with a fingerprint on iPhone and iPad models that include a fingerprint sensor.

PSECU members can opt-in to enable this feature during an initial login, and future logins can be performed with a simple fingerprint validation.

"Members demand convenience, and this means fewer obstacles and less friction in accessing their accounts,” said CEO Greg Smith. “Touch ID integration will allow our members to login quickly and securely, and all indications are that this feature will be very popular."
