SAN JOSE, Calif.—PayPal is making a big move to boost consumer use of its service at the point of sale—giving away $10 million.
PayPal has introduced “The Great PayPal Checkout,” the company’s largest sweepstakes ever with the lowest barrier to enter—consumers simply check out with PayPal.
The campaign brings back popular actor and comedian Will Ferrell to announce the offer that gives away $10 million to 1,000 people daily across the country over 100 days—1,000 daily winners will be chosen.
“Consumers can win up to five times, so the more they select PayPal Checkout, the more chances for their cart to be covered. If selected as a winner, the cash value of their purchases will be transferred to their PayPal account,” PayPal explained, adding that anyone who uses the service for a purchase up to $100 is entered into the giveaway.
